This is how most of our instrument sales begin. A campaign on your own material shows what the technique gives in your hands: which elements come out, at what rate, with what preparation. You then know which instrument you need — and the figures to justify it internally.

The field is rarely laboratory conditions
We have measured in WHO premises in Congo, on mine faces in the DRC and in Greece, in a sorting centre in Tunisia, on nickel drill core in New Caledonia and on canal sediments in Belgium.
Dust, damp, access and the time available are as much part of the problem as the measurement itself. That is learnt on site, not from a manual.
